180 Degrees in the Right Direction

It’s amazing the way life works. A week ago today, when I wrote my last post, I was pissed off at the world and wondering when things would start to look up for me again. Makes me feel like I’m bi-polar, because a week later I’m happy to report that things are indeed looking up.

I started school on Monday. This is just an orientation class, but gives the general knowledge needed to attend an online school. It all makes perfect sense, and I like being able to do school work when I feel like it, on my schedule. I’m enjoying things thus far, but I really would like to be in a regular class already, because this beginner course is so rudimentary. I’m excited to be back in school and I know that this is going to be a great move for my future.

Things have fallen into place nicely here at my Sister’s house. We have all gotten along and I feel more at home than I have anywhere aside from my own place. It’s been nice. I haven’t had any luck with any sort of employment, but I have a feeling that something is going to work itself out soon.

I am also happy to announce that I have started seeing someone again. Ironically her name is Amanda, so this will be the 3rd I have dated (I’m hoping that 3rd time is a charm). It’s also strange that I was introduced to her by my ex Gina. We had been on loose speaking terms on Facebook, mainly just a comment here or there. And then after I commented on one of her posts, her friend Amanda posted on it as well, and Gina suggested that we talk. And talk we did. I met up with her and some of her friends on Sunday, and we hit it off. On Monday she came and visited me here, and yesterday Ashley, Billy and myself went to Dave and Buster’s and she met us there. So far so good. I’m really enjoying her company and we seem to see eye to eye on everything.

I found out that I can log onto my PSN account on Billy’s PS3 and still earn trophies for myself. I was relieved, because I don’t know when I will be able to afford to fix my PS3. I have yet to try to transfer and of my save data to his hard drive, but I plan to soon, because I want to get some more of the Dragon Age trophies in before I acquire a copy of the sequel. The other day me and him decided to stop by Game Stop to see if we could find anything relatively cheap. He ended up spending $70 but we walked out of there with 3 games. A used copy of Demon’s Souls for $18, a new copy of the Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection for $20, and a new copy of the Little Big Planet GOTY for $30. We have yet to even open Little Big Planet; I became obsessed with playing the old Genesis games and just got the Platinum trophy today, and he has delved into Demon’s Souls. I intend to start on that game today. Little Big Planet has been put on the back burner because it has a lot of content.

So life has turned itself around for now, and I’m happy about that.
