Music Stuff

NWFT has been updated again, and apparently, the new album from Coheed and Cambria is available on pre-sale now. The NWFT website gave a link to Alternative Press’ website, which contains info on the pre-order. But, if, like me, you didn’t check it out on the day the info was presented, you will have to dig through the archives to find the post about the band. I’ve saved you some trouble, here’s what altpress had posted:

We’re pleased as punch to bring you this exclusive news update from Coheed And Cambria regarding the presale of their upcoming album No World For Tomorrow, out Oct. 23 on Columbia/Equal Vision. Straight from the band’s mouths:

“NO WORLD FOR TOMORROW” PRESALE STARTS TODAY – DETAILS ANNOUNCED

YOU CAN BUY “NO WORLD FOR TOMORROW” NOW AT MERCHNOW.COM AND SMARTPUNK.COM.

BOTH SITES ARE OFFERING A LIMITED SUPPLY OF THE LYRIC BOOKLETS SIGNED BY THE WHOLE BAND!!! PLUS OTHER GOODS

Our new record, “No World For Tomorrow” is in stores October 23, but you can order it RIGHT NOW, and you should.

Here’s the skinny: No World For Tomorrow will come in 3 formats!

1. NWFT “Deluxe Edition” – includes a bonus dvd feature a 24-minute documentary feature on “The Making of NWFT”, with interviews and amazing footage from inside the studio while this album was being birthed; Five (5) never-before-heard ORIGINAL ACOUSTIC DEMOS (Claudio’s first audio sketches of the songs); plus over 50 photos from recent tours. It also comes with a beautiful 16 page lyric booklet filled with scenes from “the story”, painted by legendary artist Ken Kelly, and all comes in a beautifully designed 4-panel digi-pack.

2. NWFT – “stripped” version – A cd and a slip sleeve cover – No lyrics, no dvd, low, low price.

3. NWFT – “double gatefold vinyl” – featuring beautifully big art by Ken Kelly, with 2 lps pressed on 180 gram vinyl, with etched artwork on side 4! – The vinyl release will also include a free digital download of NWFT!

So yeah, that’s nifty. I don’t have the cash to preorder now, but I may just do that. If not, I’ll just head out and buy it on release day.

I also stumbled across Thrice’s myspace page, and got to listen to two songs from their upcoming album. I knew they had started recording, but I had no idea the album was slated for a 10/16 release. So now there’s 3 cds that (Coheed, A7x, and this one) I have to buy in October. Hopefully funds permit. All three albums sound promising from the teasers I’ve been allowed to hear.
