I’ve been getting back into movies again. For the past few months, all I’ve been buying with my spare cash has been cds… and well, the music boom is over for the meantime. It’s my weekend again, and I have some plans. Last weekend was pretty busy for me, mainly because Gina got some days off, and we got to hang out for the majority of the weekend. On Friday, as I mentioned we went to Lily’s Kindergarden graduation. And then we rand some errands. Well I came home with the intention of raiding, but I got assed out on both raids last weekend, but more on that later. So since I wasn’t going to be raiding, me and Gina decided to go see a movie, and we settled on the new Pirates movie, and despite things I have heard/read, it was fuckin awesome. It solidly wrapped up the series. Then after the movie (which was quite long), we were hungry, and after some deliberation, we decided to eat at Applebee’s. We both had steak and some other shit, and it was good. Afterwards we decided to see what people we know were doing, and pretty much nothing was going on. So we went to Wal-mart and bought a bottle of Southern Comfort, some mixer, and we headed to John’s house, where we spent the rest of the night drinking and playing cards. John had his other friend Ron over, who is a pretty cool guy, and after getting a buzz, we all started getting into discussions about the things you’re not supposed to talk about. You know, politics, religion, women’s weight. All that stuff. It was a pretty enjoyable night, and I find myself yearning for more nights like that one. Everything went off without a hitch, and I rather enjoy intellectual conversation, which I don’t get from most of my friends.

Saturday we went grocery shopping and then came home and I tried to raid again, but I got assed out once more. So I played video games for a little while, and then I watched one of the movies we bought from Wal-mart: Constantine. We also bought Casino, which was a movie I remember seeing when it came out, but I remember being bored to tears as a kid. We watched it last night, and it was suprisingly good, and I enjoyed it. Somewhere along the lines, we also finally watched Saw III, on pay-per-view. It was also a good one, and I need to buy that one on DVD to round out the trilogy. So yeah, I’ve been getting back into going to the movies, buying DVDs, and watching PPV movies. A friend of mine at work, Sal, told me that Circuit City has deals every weekend on DVDs, some as low as $1.99, and as high as $7.99. None are new releases, and the prices seem to correlate with the age of the film. But still, I told Gina and we’re going to try and bolster our collection soon.

For this weekend, it’s going to be more of the same. Except Gina has to work. I ended up getting out of bed at 1, and ran to the bank and to get gas. I have to take Gina to work in a few minutes, and then I’m coming home and trying to raid. If that doesn’t happen, I’ll still play EQ for a while, and then if i end up getting bored, then I’ll see what people are doing, and maybe do something. If not, I’ll just sit around until Gina gets off and then try to figure out something to do. We’ll see what happens.
