Yeah, so January just flew by. Most of you who happen to read this site still are probably wondering what the hell has happened to me… Guess I just haven’t had the time to stop by and make a post. I’m not dead, doing quite well actually.
So shortly after moving back in with the parents, I got a job again. I started working at AutoZone, in a management position. Doesn’t pay what I would like to start, but it’s better than not making anything. I’m training to become a store manager at this point in time, and supposedly within a year I should be able to take on my own store. If I do, it’s about double what I was making a year at the Casino. So that’s a good thing. The job itself isn’t difficult, I just had to learn how to do things the AZ way, and learn some of their systems. So far I’ve learned to open the store and close, along with many other managerial functions. So far so good.
I’ve got a girlfriend again. I met her in the beginning of December, and we were officially dating in the beginning of the new year. I don’t want to jinx anything, but so far she’s been wonderful, and I’m hoping that it stays that way. It’s one of those “too good to be true” situations in some ways, but in others it’s still firmly grounded in reality. Her name is Ashley, which is a little odd considering that’s my sister’s name, but otherwise irrelevant. She’s 20, has a job, a car, goes to school, and is a bright girl. So I’m very happy with this prospect. That’s all I’m going to share for the time being, again I don’t want to jinx anything.
So life has been good. Ted stayed in the old place, and Tyler ended up moving out. Ted has since recruited a new room mate, another guy that works at the casino named Don. I don’t really know him too well, but he seems like a nice guy. So Ted is able to keep the place going, and when I move back in, rent and everything will cost the same as before, which is still affordable. Our lease isn’t up unitl August, so when that time comes around we’ll decide if we want to stay or if we’re going to move into another place. Preferrably a smaller more affordable place, or a house. Either way, time will tell.
That’s the plan at least. I’m trying to pay off what debts I have accumulated over the two months I was out of work, and then move back in to the old pad on March 1st. My tax return will help pay off any debt that remains after moving back in here. So life will be back on track, and things will be good again.
The major reason I haven’t been able to blog for this long is that I don’t have internet at my mom’s, at least it isn’t easily accessible. I have to compete with the rest of the household for use of their computer, as I don’t have a wireless adapter for mine. Nor do I want to spend the money on one, because the internet is still ready to go in my old room, and I will have use of it again as soon as I get moved back in. So expect a more regular posting schedule after March 1st.
