Today was our (now annual) trip to Knott’s Berry Farm. The casino provides tickets to all its employees for summer, this being the second year in a row that I’ve received said tickets and visited the park. We got up this morning around 10 and headed out shortly thereafter. We had a pretty good time at the park, but it was hot as hell and I now have some serious raccoon eyes.
Today is also the first day of my four day weekend (gotta love those). We did the Knotts thing today, and I’ve been home for a couple hours now. Howard called and might come over, but otherwise I don’t have any plans for the rest of the night. Tomorrow I don’t really have any plans either. The kids go home and Gina has to work, so I’ll probably play EQ2 for hours. Friday is Kristy and Jeff’s Bachelor/Bachelorette party at their house, and we told them we would make an appearance. I was also nominated to take their wedding photos, but that’s not until the 8th of next month. Saturday I don’t have plans either, but I know I’ll figure something out. My Dad was supposed to come out and visit on Friday/Saturday, but he cancelled on me (you bastard!), so that will be left to another weekend.
My sister went to the hospital today. She was having some serious lower abdominal pain, and there was a thought that it might be appendicitis. She had some tests done and I just got a call a few minutes ago that it turned out to be an ovarian cyst. That was a relief. I hate it when relatives go to the hospital… Always have to prepare myself for the worst. But thankfully it wasn’t the worst that happened, so now I’m just waiting for further updates.
Another interesting topic came up a couple days ago. A friend of Gina’s wants to move and offered to sell his house to us. Then he doubled back on that and mentioned renting it to us. There’s more detail to this, but I don’t want to jinx myself so I’m not going into it. Also, I’ve talked to Jason and there’s a possibility that we might get a place together again, along with his girlfriend. We supposed to get together in a couple days to sort that out. So needless to say, I may be moving again, but no knowing how soon.
